About me

My Personal Story is Why I'm the Coach You've Been Looking For.

I've Likely Been Where You are Now

I'm Mark Edwards, Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach and CrossFit Level 2 Trainer.

You might be wondering what my own nutrition and fitness story is. What have I been through that might give me insight into your nutrition and fitness challenges? What could we have in common?

I'm in my 60th year. And that's why I'll coach you better than the alternatives.

You're a guy over 40. Maybe you're 50 and sliding towards that magical 60.

Do you really want a 23-year-old recent graduate giving you nutrition advice and programming your workouts? Do you think that kid has even the slightest inkling of what you're going through, physically and mentally, as an older guy?

I'll tell you something. He likely doesn't have a clue.

If you sign up for one of the "big" branded men's weight loss programs, that's what you'll get for a coach. A kid they've hired for thirty or forty bucks an hour. He's read the textbooks, passed his exams, but he hasn't experienced how tough it is to lose weight and build muscle in middle age.

He doesn't know how hard it is to change habits that you might have had for DECADES.

I've been where you're at. I've experienced the physical struggles of aging. And I coach older guys.
Make a choice today that's going to change your life and the lives of your loved ones.

What's MY Story?

In my youth, I was a recreational skier, off-road motocross rider, and martial artist. I loved the fighting sports: Jeet Kune Do, kickboxing, and MMA. These took a toll on my joints, and as I got older, I realized that I needed to improve my physical strength and health if I wanted to keep doing the things I loved. I would need to be more consistent. I strength trained hard and about 9 years ago, took the plunge into CrossFit.

Along the way, I've personally tried and experienced many of the popular diets that are out there: Macrobiotic Vegetarianism (before so-called "plant-based" eating was a thing, and before anyone coined the word "vegan"), "Fit for Life," The Zone, the Metabolic/Anabolic Diet, the Ketogenic Diet, a modified Paleo Diet, and Intermittent Fasting.

Prior to all of that, I spent many years just eating "whatever." I was a child of the 60

s and 70's. We didn't think too much about food. At my heaviest, I was 45 lbs heavier than I am now, so I'm well aware of what it's like to lose a significant amount of weight. I wasn't obese, but for my frame size, I was pretty heavy.

Added to all of this is my history of arthritis in my knees and hip, both a result of a combination of sports-related injuries and advancing age.

If you're an older guy struggling with health, weight, and fitness issues, believe me when I say I KNOW how you feel.

If you've fought with hip, knee, shoulder injuries, and/or weight loss, you know that staying fit can be a tough hill to climb during the pain and limited movement options post-surgery while recovering.

Now I use my experience and training to help men lose weight, get fit, and be the best they've ever been as they get older.

I bring personal experience to the table that most younger coaches simply do not have.

You can have the body, health, and fitness of a much younger you.

It's POSSIBLE.

Let's work together to make it happen.
